Paper plate dinosaur

We are a big dinosaur loving family so this paper plate dinosaur was very popular! And not too difficult to do.

We needed:

  • Paper plate
  • Loo roll tube
  • Card
  • Googly eyes
  • Glue
  • Crayons

First I cut the loo roll tube in half and then cut two slits in each. The slits were about 1cm deep and positioned opposite each other.

Next I cut out a head and neck out of the card, and a tail.

We coloured in the plate, head, tail and legs with crayons but you could paint them instead if you have a little more time! And we added googly eyes.

Next we folded the plate in half and glued the neck and tail to one of the inside sides.

Then we glued the plate together.

We slotted the plate into the loo roll legs.

And our dinosaur was born!

Top tips:

  • Why not cut out different shaped heads/tails and add spikes to create different types of dinosaurs?
